Xbox 720 VS PS4

In the video gaming market, there are two major companies that have been going head to head for years: Sony and Microsoft. Right now, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 dominate the market. Both have features that make them unique (which is why Wii isn’t on this list; totally different type of gaming), and common ground that makes them difficult to choose between.

We know the next generation of game consoles is going to be awesome. But what should we drop $600 on when the time comes?

Mostly, it depends on you, the gamer.

We know Microsoft is in the lead for their social network of Xbox Live. The social aspect of gaming is phenomenal on the 360, making gamers more dedicated simply because gaming is better with a friend than by yourself. Many games allow up to 16 players in a party. While the PlayStation Network allows for similar things, it’s not quite the same.

We also know Microsoft is dependent on software rather than just hardware, like Sony. PlayStation 3 has exceptional graphics, true, but Xbox is up there. Since Gears of War 3 just came out, you can compare the newest to the original, and you’ll see the drastic change.

But what do we want in the next generation consoles the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720? Virtual reality? 3D? Better graphics?
