Microsoft Xbox Kinect
The Kinect for Xbox 360, more commonly known as the Kinect, is the Microsoft response to motion-based gameplay.
The device is a web-cam type camera that connects to the Xbox and faces the room.
The coolest thing? Unlike the PS Move and Wii, it doesn’t need a game controller to detect motion. It uses gestures and spoken commands via a natural user interface, and is programmed to recognize each player.
The Kinect first came to the US on November 4, 2010, and sold out. It sold over 8 million units just in the first 60 days after release, holding the Guiness World Record for Fastest Selling Consumer Electronics Device.
Many people appreciate the controller-less gaming that the Kinect offers. It is only $144 and comes with Kinect Adventures!
