Microsoft Xbox 720

It’s been 6 years since the November 22, 2005 release of the Xbox 360, and we’re wondering when we’ll be able to pull off all-nighters with the next console, dubbed Xbox 720.

No one knows for sure if the successor will be called the Xbox 720, but it’s as good a codename as any.

While Microsoft is pretty quiet on the front about when to expect the next console, rumors are always spreading the web. For instance, many people think that since the Wii U will release in 2012, that the Xbox and PS4 will release the same or following year. Some developers say they have their hands on the console already in their dev kits.

But it leaves us wondering what we’ll see next. Hopefully not over-heating problems, for starters. Better graphics seems reasonable, as well, with a few rumors spreading, saying that the 720 will have graphics equivalent to the hit James Cameron movie, Avatar.

That would be awesome. But we’ll have to wait and see at the moment. We’ll keep you posted as more news floats in.
